Meet Amber
Amber Smith, BFA is owner of Daniel J. Smith Photography LLC by Amber C. Smith Creative. She has officially taken over business as of September 2023 and has been in charge of it’s operations since late-2022.
She specializes in areas of commercial photography, including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign. Additionally, advertising layout design, promotional material, and fine art painting. Amber obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design and illustration from Edinboro University in 2011.
Her understanding of balance, alignment, color usage, layout, and content placement from her career experience as a graphic designer and advertising consultant continue to influence her work.
Meet Daniel
Daniel Smith, GCPP, founder of Daniel J. Smith Photography LLC. He started as a professional in the industry in 2006 with almost 18 years of business experience. He started the craft and journey in 1998 regarding the multimedia industry with about 25 years of growth. He founded Daniel J. Smith Photography LLC in mid-2006 while joining the military.
He studied Communications with a focus in Photojournalism at Pennsylvania State University, the World Campus for three years while serving in the military. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, and a three-time graduate of the Lamarr Williamson School of Photography. He has also received an Associate Fellow degree through the Professional Photographers of South Carolina.
He served in the United States Air Force for over a decade as a Security Forces Non-Commissioned Officer and a Base Honor Guard member. He is now medically-retired from his time in service with the United States Air Force.

How The Process Works
BOOKING
There are multiple ways to book a session: phone call, email, text, or Google Hangouts.
We’ll work together to create a customized estimate that is suitable for your request.
After the estimate is approved, we’ll work together to confirm a possible date and time or multiple dates and times for the session(s) to take place.
The billing process and contract process differ depending upon the agreement made with the company or individual booking the session(s).
I utilize Google calendar in order to confirm appointments and provide reminders for your organization and convenience.
THE SESSION
I generally arrive up to one hour early to set-up on location. This gives me the opportunity to review our setup so that we are ready to proceed on schedule.
Professional Headshots: During the session I like to coach each individual person through the process of creating an amazing headshot.
Commercial: It’s always great to work with a creative team to ensure we get the image just the way we need it to be. Images are crafted to requested specifications while including the creativity needed to properly showcase your items.
After the session has been completed, it is my goal to ensure everything is put back in it’s original state depending upon the task and environment that we conduct the session in.
SELECTION
Images will be reviewed and chosen while on location in most scenarios. This mainly applies to the majority of Professional Headshot sessions, and some Commercial sessions depending on if there is a creative team working during the process. The members of the creative team will work together to choose the images on location. Further image review may be needed depending upon the process.
Proof sets will be provided if images are not chosen on location. Some scenarios may rely on my choice and direction for the correct images to be provided.
IMAGE DELIVERY
Images can be delivered through a variety of ways: Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. I prefer Google Drive, and I set the sharing access security to your desired level. The security of your images is very important.
Turnaround time for images is as early as 48 hours. Typically, Professional Headshot images are delivered within 2-7 business days. Depending upon certain Commercial projects, images may be delivered within 1-4 weeks. In some scenarios, some images may need to be delivered within 24 hours upon special request.
